MOSCOW/ANOSINO, Moscow Region, Oct 26 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will get a 19.5% stake in oil major Rosneft ready for privatization in early December, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told reporters Wednesday.
“There is a schedule prepared by consultant, bank Intesa Sanpaolo, and according to this schedule preparations of all procedures should be completed sometime in early December,” he said.
“We are moving in accordance with the schedule,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said Rosneft may buy its shares back if the government fails to sell them to potential investors until the end of this year.
“19.5% - this is what we have to sell this year,” he said. “If potential investors buy the stake, there will be no buyback.”
